+1.  Drive down to Tucson from Phoenix.  Tons of great resorts.  Go to old Tucson, desert museum, ride horses, Sabino canyon, saguaro national park, and if you want more to do take a day trip down to bisbee and kartchner caverns.  There is also spring training in Tucson.  Tucson is waaaaay more fun than Phoenix and is also a unesco world heritage site for food.  Its 1-2 hour drive depending what part of Tucson you stay in. Not the OP, We were considering Tucson but realized it’s colder than Phx. I gathered that it might not be swimming weather at the end of March. The weather should be lovely but part of the draw was that we could have both sightseeing and a resort experience hanging out at the pool. [/quote]

Tucson is slightly cooler but not by much. If the resort has a heated pool you can definitely swim in late March. Adults may be slightly cold but kids can swim.  I live in Phoenix and while I won’t swim in March my 14 year old will.  Find a resort with a heated pool. My pool is currently 44 degrees🥶 and will stay in the 50s/60s at night until around June.
