Its for the admissions office and they see the context which you will never see which is a ranked list of applicants by HSPT score and sorted by K-8 school, probably zip code and all kind of other ways. But I completely agree those results should be provided asap to parents. Ideally before even the application due date. There are doubtless kids that get 95+ and think "crap I should have applied to School X" and kids that get 45th percentile and immediately realize they wasted $200 on applications that are now in the trash.
