I’ve read time management books by Laura Vanderkam and when she has people log every hour of what they’re doing, frequently it only works out to a max of like 65 hours a week of work. The rest is people eating a work dinner or taking a break or a nap recovering from that level of work. Also it’s not sustainable years on end. People love to brag about their hours, but I just take everything people say with a grain of salt. https://www.amazon.com/168-Hours-Have-More-Think/dp/159184410X?nodl=1&dplnkId=a918fd6a-0e95-406b-845e-937bac4319f5
This is OP! This is actually what prompted me to ask this - LV’s work! I see people frequently posting about this with regard to law firm associates and management consultants, usually in the context of how much their husbands work. I didn’t even think of the doctor example.
