To be honest I think it’s more developmentally inappropriate to shelter the teens from interacting with adults, you pretty much have it backwards. Plenty of teens have summer and part time jobs, hobbies, volunteer etc and interact with adults in appropriate ways, which is part of growing up and becoming adults themselves.[/quote]
