I bought proper rain jackets ( waterproof not just water resistant) from Eddie Bauer for our trip to London and they have been the best investment for all our trips to Europe. Just make sure you click on details for a jacket you like, and it says water proof. I bought one that was little shorter than thigh ( I am petite) and was so lightweight you could fold it into a square. The other one is definitely slightly bulky and it protects from wind and rain, and  kept me warm in 40s temp with wind.

Can’t find the exact ones I bought..but there are so many options with great sale..
