You pay for the spot when you're on leave regardless, and keeping the older child in his/her routine is pretty key to adjusting to a new sibling--let alone two. I also like the fact that it gives mom some one-on-one bonding time with the newbies. Is it *possible* to keep the older one home? Sure. But really, if mom is exhausted and everyone is adjusting to a new normal...why wouldn't you take advantage of already having the daycare spot? To each their own, though.[/quote]
