The Presidential debates have long ceased to serve their purpose - to expose voters to all likely candidates and their ideas through media available to all. Back in the day (before streaming internet) the vast majority of Americans only saw the presidential candidates on TV at times determined by the networks and the debates were a way to hear directly from the candidates. The debates are of no consequence anymore.[/quote]
