In dhs family everyone gets a stocking. They are inexpensive to begin with so it’s not a big deal to get a girlfriend on. She writes the name on in puff paint. Grand dogs have stockings too.

I personally think stockings only should be where Santa comes on Christmas morning. It’s weird that my kids have multiple people’s homes with stockings filled by Santa. The year we celebrated with relatives I was very sad to find my kids’ stockings already filled before I had a chance to put anything in. I had needlepointed and embroidered all my kids’ stockings and they were meaningful so we had traveled with them prior. I let her fill them though, I’m sure I’d love to fill my grandkids stockings too.

I really love filling stockings. They always have an orange, a Penny, a candy cane, their favorite candy and then fun stuff like nail polish, lipstick/chapstick, bath bombs, small toys.

I see all these memes about moms not having stockings, but I couldn’t care less if mine isn’t filled. I have all I want. [/quote]
