Even 40 years later, I still don't think I've processed her death because there was never any closure. I never felt like I got to say goodbye to her (the grandkids didn't go to the hospital as she was dying either as it was all very sudden). I also feel like that is a major family moment and it seems unfair to not include her in it. I've heard stories about my grandmother's funeral from other people and I always felt left out from an event that I should have been a part of. We don't have a very big family so not having the grandkids there still seems weird to me. [/quote]
