I don’t know anything about allegations of inappropriate touching. However, I have spoken with several veteran teachers (at least 5) who are very unhappy with Pineda’s leadership. I have two OA lifers (one is a graduate and the other is a current student). If you think Pineda is “doing fine,” then you must be very new to the school. He is quite dismissive about problems that need to be addressed (i.e., bullying, inappropriate and/or violent classroom behavior, academic rigor). He has lied to my face about an issue he said he would address (I’m still trying to get this issue resolved). In short, he lacks integrity and leadership skills, and he will blame DCPS for his inability to get things done. [/quote]
