I don't always agree with Gina, but she is not the hand picked person. I think the SChiol Board members wanted past board members to run. They think the learning curb is too steep. This is an educated area. I don't think Mr. Beaty or Ms. Baum will have a hard time understanding School Board.

Teacher vacancies, retention, pay is most important to me, tied with academic achievement. Beaty sounds like he's solely focused on collective bargaining. That's not the only issue facing ACPS. I haven't heard anything else from him. To me, this is a starting block for him to launch a political career.

Say what you want about Baum, but she's open, honest, and willing to work with others with different opinions.

I feel so bad for both Beaty and Baum. Why did Bailey resign? [/quote]
