To the dipshits saying "just unsubscribe" — I average 4-5 unsolicited texts a day from all sorts of different campaigns at all sorts of stages. Unsubscribing from each does not stop the deluge of new ones, and, more to the point: serves as a positive indicator to unethical campaign contact database maintainers that your number is active, making it *more valuable* to future purchasers. Eat a bag of dicks, dipshits.
Well said! "STOP" doesn't work and neither does "Block and Report". I've done both for the past few weeks but still get 3-4 different text solicitations per day. I contributed to several Democrat races over the past few years, so somebody scraped my info from a report, put it into a database, and sold my info to various campaigns as a likely contributor. I use my phone for business, and the recurring texts are extremely frustrating. I will not be financially supporting any Democrat campaigns this cycle so I don't end up on more lists.
The candidates and organizations themselves are the ones that sell the lists.
