How do you feel about the hijab and burqa? I don't think you can be a feminist and wear either one, especially not a burqa. But for a Muslim woman to call herself a feminist as she wears a hijab, do you think that's hypocritical? I had a colleague who stopped covering after her husband (arranged marriage) beat her. She divorced him and remarried - another Muslim - but she no longer covers. I don't know how removed she is from her beliefs at this point, as she's moved away. But I would love to talk to her, as we had some very deep conversations about religion before her divorce.[/quote]
