Many widowers remarry quickly especially if the former spouse was ill for a long time.

I remember seeing an announcement about the death of a mom of a student in my DCs class around Thanksgiving. I met the student's new step mom at back to school night the next September. So less than a year later the dad  remarried. I think having young kids increases the speed too. [/quote]
