Use the name you love. We were thinking of naming our dd after a family member but the name was in the top 3 so we quickly vetoed it. Ultimately, we found a name we loved that wasn’t on any lists. Yay! Turns out that while the name remains globally unique, there are many many other little girls with her name in our neighborhood. There are 2 in her class. There are zero girls with the top 3 name. We still love her name and don’t regret using it, but you can turn yourself into knots trying to crack the naming code. Charlotte is a lovely name. If you love it, use it.
This. We live in a neighborhood where I think people are fearful of name that are "too popular" and as a result, you could safely name your kid Olivia and she'd be the only one in her grade, but if you go with Josephine, Beatrice, Lydia, Theodora, or Leonora, you are likely to run into others on the playground because I know 2-3 kids with each of those much-less-popular names.
