And I just don't buy him as a Frenchmen. I wish that was different casting. I really like both of the actors portraying Marie Laure and Werner. I recommend the book very highly. I think it's better than Cloud Cuckooland, even though I loved that in its own way. I don't know how well the pacing works. I felt like we got too much of the end before moving to the beginning. It's been years since I read the book, but I remember the opening part as pretty brief. [/quote]
