Hi, it's gay dude from the other thread reporting ;) It is a bit of a coincidence to have two such threads so close to each other but I'll reserve any judgments about trolls because, look, there are plenty of people who share OP's views. Many gays aren't on the whole DEI wagon and don't buy into gender identity arguments. And plenty don't like the notion that queer activists act as if all gays and lesbians have to have identikit progressive left wing beliefs or they're not real gays and lesbians. Whatever. In the DC area, the Catholics named on the other thread should tick the boxes. As would places like Potomac and SSSA. The more progressive a school, the more likely kid will feel cultural pressure to confirm himself into the queer for Palestine cliques and start shaving/dying his hair and wearing cut off jean shorts with army boots and the latest queer flag on his tote bag (I think there's now one with the Palestinian flag). Irony is that progressives are typically the most conformist and non-diverse people there are.
I'm OP, and this is largely what I'm talking about. I have no issue with a school being center-left, but progressives have gone way off the rails in the last few years when it comes to cultural issues. I don't want my child becoming an aggrieved victim or left-wing "activist." However, I also know that there are unfortunately some schools that aren't not accepting of gay kids. I still want my son to believe in the values of hard work, individualism, perseverance, and traditional values. You won't be able to instill those values at the "Victim Academies" that exist in DC.
I’m going to give you the benefit of the doubt that your double negative is a typo and you aren’t actually upset that some schools do accept gay kids.
