Everything that a student excels at isn't a hook. That's their actual application. Hooks are: Both my parents and my grandparents went to Harvard. On one side even a great grandparent went. Take me. My parents were generous and in addition to being able to pay full freight for the school they are also going to generously donate over a 7 figure sum. There are a lot of different examples.
