This is unusual. I’m 40, have lived in DC and the close in suburbs my entire life, and have never seen the stuff people are describing here- although perhaps it’s more common in VA, where I spent less time. A couple years after 9/11 I saw 2 cops with rifles and a German Shepherd at the Bethesda metro. It unnerved me and I didn’t see anything like that again until after Jan 6 when downtown was shut down with military checkpoints. [/quote]
