I’m a PE teacher and I would definitely sue! I’m so sick and tired of lazy and stupid teachers that give us a bad name. How many on a team? What were the rules? What lead up lessons were had before the big game? What safety measures were taught? Ask to see the lesson plans. I hope at the very least the dental bills are covered. I’m so sorry that this happened to your child.
Also, ask to see the video. Every gym has cameras. Was your child down very low or did someone swing very high?
If they do, they must not work. A kid is stealing walkies from our gym. Third time in two months.
What do walked have to do with cameras? Can you clip the walkers to your clothes so they don’t get taken? We can’t even get kids to wear sneaker so I don’t know how a mouth guard would ever work. Kids sit in the bleachers because there are no consequences. I don’t think that any teacher would encourage that. What is your plan to get them moving? Yes, we call home but if a parent doesn’t care, there is nothing left for us to do. You need to see the video. If it was a true accident, then so be it. If it happened because 25 students were playing against 25 students with no instructions with a useless teacher, then please pursue this!
