Both dogs and elephants are highly intelligent and can form strong bonds with both their own kind and humans when treated well. Thank goodness circus acts with elephants are not done in western countries anymore as far as I know - but some of the cruel mistreatment of elephants in Asian and Africa is heart breaking. Great that you support elephant protection groups! I love that your dad says via cardinals - my fave American bird. [/quote]
