Have you considered ABA for him? Some places have a school readiness program where they help kids learn how to be in a classroom. It might be helpful to look into.
He’s starting next week. It’s an ABA center with a school readiness focus. His OT thinks we’re not going to make a ton of progress on fine motor skills until ABA helps us with the avoidance issues I described.
NP. I have a DC with a diagnosis of PDA (as well as ASD, ADHD and has sensory issues). We don't have a "low demand" household although DC does do a bit less than his older sibling. We generally have changed our language to be more declarative but continue to have a relatively-normal amount of things for him to do. We don't go out of our way to have additional demands for him. I can't see that any ABA would have been a good thing for him when he was younger. FWIW, he is oppositional but it has gotten better as he has gotten older and more mature.
