Yes. Through the app. In turn, they put stickers on my cup.
The baristas have no clue who tips through the app
Weird. I only get the stickers when I tip, and I go to the same Starbucks every week.
Interesting -- I tip in app when I remember to do so, and I haven't seen any extra stickers anywhere.
What stickers? I haven't seen them either.
They are on the lid. Now I wonder if I am hallucinating these stickers.
Maybe it's just something they do at your Starbucks. But also, they might not be for the tip, it could just be that the baristas at your Starbucks like to put stickers on the lids for fun or something. I've worked jobs like that and sometimes you do stuff like that just to give yourself something to do. I used to lean in hard on customer service just because it would make customers nicer and make interactions more pleasant -- I'd rather get a smile or a thank you out of 70% of customers than 30%, and you get that by treating people a little better. I still do this as a customer -- I try to smile and make sure to say thank you, compliment them if they go out of their way for me, etc. But, I guess ironically, I don't tip at Starbucks because I know they make above minimum wage with decent benefits, and in my experience working in a job like that, tipping is not expected (and people don't rely on it). The exception would be if someone went above and beyond for me, or if it was a holiday -- I always leave a $20 tip if I have to patronize a business on a holiday, sometimes more if I have it on me, because I remember having to work holidays.
