Wootton is one of the least diverse schools in this county. The county is like 30something % Hispanic kids,  15% Asian kids, and I think like 30% FARMs.

I’m zoned for Wootton and this is true. Richard Montgomery is truly diverse - you don’t get clumps of Asian kids all over the place- they are well integrated and when you see various friend groups around school and after school, they are truly diverse.  When our kid is done with 8th, we are moving to Richard Montgomery to avoid the imbalanced demographics at Wootton. [/quote]

There is no one zoned for Wootton that would purposely send their kids to RM, especially after so many incidences the past 2 years and how over crowded it is.  Wootton has better AP offerings, better teachers, more involved parents, and a safer environment.  This is 100% a troll. [/quote]

RM is a much nicer school. You make a lot of assumptions about others. I'd pick RM over Wootton every time. The IB is much stronger than anything Wootton has to offer. RM also has way more NMSF and overall better college outcomes. In fact, there's really no comparison.[/quote]

Oh sweetie. Go look at the college results. Wootton doesn’t even have an IB program and outperforms RM in testing, AP courses offered, AP passing %, college admissions, and graduation rates.

Ritchie Park ES was pulled from Wootton and then they added the IB program - all to pull RM out of the basement and make their numbers look presentable. But they now have the least favorable IB program and it and the entire school has been slipping in numbers for the last 7 years.

But yes your building is newer. Still more overcrowded and problematic. Good luck!
