This is not true. The baby knows when you're not around.

OP, my both kids were sleeping through the night at 6 weeks and I blame it on the co-sleeping + EBF on demand combo.

Poster you quoted: all 3 of my kids STTN between 5 -8 weeks and all were in their own cribs in their own rooms. Child #4 (4 weeks old) is in her own room and crib and has already had a few nights of STTN.

I think you are referring to me. Actually, it appears YOU think you know more than the AAP, since you mischaracterize their suggestions. But honestly, i think that's goving you too much credit. I don't think you understand the difference between the fact that sleeping in the same room may reduce the risk of SIDS and the utterly stupid suggestion that sleeping in a different room CAUSES SIDS. You should let your kids sleep wherever. They are doomed if they are being raised by such a crazy ignorant moron. [/quote]
