You do realize that the protesters are there because we have not sufficiently supported the government run by the Muslim Brotherhood. So can I assume this is what you also want? Or have you gone so far into bizzaro land that you would rather support Islamist resurgence than Hillary Clinton. Anway, don't worry. Hillary is badass.
Actually, it was the liberals who think we are fully supporting the Muslim Brotherhood. They sure have gotten cozy over here lately. Not that I'm excusing Egyptian behavior. It's horrifying and sexist. To chant about a Secretary of State's husband's behavior? Shameful.
What can you expect from a county that's 90% Muslim? There aren't many women running errands in shorts!
Not fair and you know it. This has nothing to do with religion; in fact many of those protesting are secular.
That doesn't really change the culture, as the majority are still Muslim.
Of course you are right. Muslim culture is monolithic across the globe. No variation anywhere.
Defend it all you like. I don't. I think that it does indeed permeate a country. Doesn't Christianity do the same here in the States? Christmas, Easter Even in "evolved" cultures, sexism exists. But in places like Egypt and in other countries in the Middle East, where Islam IS the main religion, sexism is supported through religious beliefs. You must live in a fantasy land.
No fantasy land. I'm Egyptian. I never said sexism doesn't exist. I'm the one mad at the protesters. But you are wrong to paint any culture or religion as being so uniform and inflexible.
