We moved from a school with a very large low income/non-English speaking population two years ago. A lot of the the resources were spent on getting these children up to speed (as they should), but it meant that high SES families whose kids were struggling were basically ignored and had to look outside of the school for extra support. We had a job change and moved to a an area with a more uniform (high SES) population and my struggling child is now getting the support he needs. Now, some of this is because we're in a different school system, but I'm sure a lot of it is just because of where the resources are going.[/quote]
