It's astounding that the police let crime run rampant in protest of a paltry 2.5% budget cut, which also hit other city departments due to COVID revenue shortfall. It's almost as though the police union is running an extortion racket on the city.
Interesting that you don't put blame where it belongs.. .on criminals who have no regard for other people's safety or belongings, yet they are freed to commit more crimes.
There's a phrase you NEVER hear anymore: personal responsibility. Criminality is always someone else's fault.
Like how Republicans like to say they’re voting for Trump because of “Trump derangement syndrome”? How it’s never Trump’s fault, ever? I said upthread: pick them up. Charge them with the max. This isn’t some deep thing. This is the police failing to police despite having more money than some small countries.
What a load of crap. I saw the police making arrests. I saw them putting themselves in harm's way trying to contain the mobs. They were totally outnumbered, but that didn't stop them from bringing in 15 of the lowlifes. Now, the questions.... Are those arrested already out of jail? Will they be prosecuted? And, if they are, will they get a slap on the wrist or a significant punishment? And, another question..... Will any of these lowlifes bring a lawsuit against the police for "brutality," because I saw them being pretty rough with this law breakers who were resisting arrest. And, IMO, that brutality was totally deserved by the punks committing the crimes.
