They didn't call.[/quote] I thought this was obnoxious at first but I can see her point and am persuaded by the fact she didn’t treat the white male suspect differently. I think she, personally, dislikes interacting with police and believes (correctly) they wouldn’t do much to help her. She’s right that social media is a better way to ID this guy. That said, she’s naive to think that a posse is any less violent than the police; conversely also naive to think civilians should confront a possibly dangerous thief on their own. But at the end of the day she doesn’t want to make a police report that will go nowhere. Fair. [/quote]
