The level of play over the last 10 years has really risen in this area, though still way behind south, Midwest, and west.  You really need to start kids with rec at 9-10 and club u12 and also do beach at 12.  So many more girls playing it’s really tough if not highly skilled or really tall at 12.[/quote]
