They weren't bullying anyone or damaging property. They said a swear word. It's not behavior. I would accept from my teen, but it's also nowhere near the bar for requiring strangers to get involved. OP tried to use her status as an adult and a homeowner to intimidate a group of children. It didn't work, and it made her sad, but they're still nothing.
