I live near Oakton ES but due to the vagaries of zoning, my kids do not attend. I've been there for community events. It seems nice inside (nicer than my kids' school) and has a nice playground. It is on a busy road and I'm told they do not encourage walkers for this reason. I think it has LLIV now, but if you are intersted in an AAP center, the assigned one is way up in Reston.
OES has had LLIV for over a decade (my current college junior was in second grade when it was instituted). The center is Sunrise Valley ES. In Reston, but not necessarily “way up” depending on where OP might end up in the OES/TMS/OHS zone. FWIW, I’m in an area zoned for OES and JMHS, and SVES is actually closer to my house than OES. The edge of the OHS boundary is five minutes up the road so not much farther away. Although I kept my kid at OES and had few complaints with LLIV (and the one teacher who was the source of 99% of my issues is long gone).
