wtf? Maybe they aren't busy [i]or lazy[/i]--maybe they just don't want to hang out with you.  Code for 'i'm busy'---is often 'I don't want to hang out with you'.

+1.  "I'm busy" is an age-old excuse.  It is much easier than saying I do not want to spend my time with you, that doesn't sound appealing, etc.

Some of the pushiness may be a reason why some posters receive the 'I'm busy' response so often.

Also- many people in this area are two-parent working families with one spouse with long hours--- add in more than one child, family in the area, etc.--there really aren't enough hours in the day at times.  Try not to take it personally.  It is hard to project your life onto somebody else's.[/quote]
