Jealous of women who have good luck with their fertility. The ones who get pregnant at first try, no miscarriages or ectopic pregnancies, easy pregnancy and no complications. What a dream!
I started at 26. Age is important for fertility.
+1 it’s no guarantee but it’s a lot easier to be “lucky” younger. I have a friend who keeps telling me how “lucky” I was. She just started trying at 38. Okay…
That’s such a rude way to respond, even in your own head. One way or another you have something she desires but has no control over, so yes you are lucky.
Maybe if we talked bluntly about the fact that you're more likely to be unlucky if you start trying after 35, instead of calling it rude to take note of that fact, fewer women would back themselves into this corner.
Yes, I mean kids don't really need a father. Women can get pregnant before finding a partner. Is that what you meant?
 Her problem wasn't that she couldn't find a partner. She wasn't looking/was partying. Which is true in every case I personally know of, for women who didn't start trying until it was obviously too late to get pregnant easily. That's my personal experience. Maybe you are especially ugly so it was harder for you, but for my friends, it wasn't a lack of options, it was a lack of timely interest in settling down.
 Seems like you just have a crappy friend whom you judge. Any friends of mine who married later were thoughtful about who they wanted to be the father of their kids. Just sperm donation isn't enough.
