We love USAA too.  We've used them since our college days and we use them for a lot of different things: banking, investments (some), insurance.  However, we don't have our mortgage through USAA. Like the first PP, we found them to be hard to work with in that department.  We got our mortgage through PenFed and had a pretty decent experience, considering you do everything online or via phone.  Still, I'd recommend USAA in a New York minute to anyone who qualified.

Although, when you think about it, don't more members mean less cash when we get our Xmas savings account returns?? :)[/quote]
