Op here, thanks again for all of you comments. This trip is happening -- just heard from TM that they are leaving Wed or Thur. Be back Monday afternoon or evening. They will be doing some other stuff along with playing 3 games. No parents. Coach, TM, and two parent chaperones only. Kids 4 to a room. We have three days to commit our kid to going in February. We only have to pay $50 now -- other costs TBD (I guess before February). That's all that's been sent out and one of the Dads has already messaged out to the team - "Great information on Arizona trip. Excited for these boys...memories that will last a lifetime!" Guess he hasn't been one of the posters on this thread! :D
They really put you in a bad spot. I would fly out with your kid (or let your kid do it by themselves) the day before the games start. I think it's ridiculous to take that much time off from school. If you're 14 years old, then they are freshman and some of the classes are really hard to make up, like AP USH. We are u15 g in ecnl and this year we won't fly anywhere. The furthest we go is nc. Also, aren't girls playoffs this year in nc?
