Loudoun County might be the best bet. Honestly, Fairfax County for some reason has been painted by conservative media as being "flaming" left, but it really isn't. I live here. I'm squarely in the middle politically. Our neighbors are very conservative and they are still here. Maybe they feel like they've had to compromise their values to exist here, but I don't get that vibe at all. The schools are huge, so their kids will find their people because there are just so many different kinds of people. Sure you're going to run into someone who is wacko out in left field every now and then, but the goal isn't to live in a place where you will never have to tolerate someone different than you, right? I'm not sure I have any suggestions for a family who isn't willing to tolerate any diversity of thought.   [/quote]

Appreciate your insight, as I was thinking logistically Fairfax county would be ideal for them. And selfishly, I don’t want us to be too far. (we are in Bethesda). What you described is exactly what they are looking for. An area where everyone is just tolerant of each other’s political/religious views. [/quote]
