Come on. -42, elder millennial[/quote] I'm not a dinosaur, and I generally hate the phone when the conversation could be a text or two line email, HOWEVER, some conversations are better over the phone (if in person isn't an option). It can take a back and forth email conversation and squash it, quickly. Back to OP's question, a boss calling doesn't need notice. A random company guy who might take up 5 minutes in conversation, about a topic I need time to prep for, does need notice. Usually I get a Teams message to see if I've available for a quick chat.[/quote]
