How do people have time for all this AP Physics 1, 2, and C:Mech and C:E&M?
They typically do 1 and/or 2 for non-STEM majors or C:Mech and/or C:E&M for STEM majors
Our school (BCC) only offers AP physics C or IB physics. Is IB more like AP Physics 1 and 2? Otherwise it seems like there isn’t an option for a bright kid who doesn’t intend to major in a science.
IB Physics SL is more like AP Physics 1 and 2.
Not sure whether it is SL or HL. It is a two-year course.
Looks like it is HL: https://www2.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/schools/bcchs/academics/aphonors/ Is that similar to what the AP Physics C course covers?
IB Physics 1&2 is a two year course and students can test either SL or HL. The first year is basically equivalent to AP Physics C-mechanics and IB students in Calculus can usually take the AP exam junior year and do well. (E&M content is end of 1st year, after AP tests, so kids would have to wait to take APC-EM). The second year of IB Physics covers more topic than AP Physics C.
