OP here. I know this sounds stupid. But these cans are heavy and they're knocked over onto their side, and it's annoying. And no, I don't get annoyed at everything. But I am annoyed at this! :-) Was just wondering if other people would be too. But I'll let it go most likely!
So have you been moving them or do the neighbors?
I move them back to get them out of our driveway so we can park in it when we come home. They're often blocking our driveway, at least on one side. I get home first, so I get out of the car, move their cans, and then park in our garage.
It annoys the crap out of me how unaware most of my neighbors are about how the trash truck works and how consequently said neighbors are constantly putting things out in ways that disrupt the service. I have to keep telling myself, the trash truck comes at 9:30am on a weekday, 95% of the people who live on this street have never been home when they come, so yes, they simply don't know what they don't know. Your neighbors don't have crystal balls, if you're moving the cans back before they see them, they think what they are doing works. If you don't want to talk to them, you'll have to stop moving the cans and see if they notice and change their ways.
