[/quote] No. They aren't allowed to cancel without notice. They can cancel, yes, but they have to give notice so the homeowners can find alternative insurance. If you have a mortgage or deed of trust on the property, it is likely that dropped insurance is a default of the loan. Also, lenders require at least a 10 day notice period before insurance can be dropped. Even without a loan, the insurance company has to give a notice, which is part of the policy declarations.[/quote]
