I moved to Florida pre-Trump and the area I was renting in was very pro-Trump. I did research and ended up buying in an area in Florida that voted for Clinton. Having said that, I become more conservative every year- although I still hate Trump and would never vote for him. I hate the banning of ideas, books, businesses, etc from both extreme sides of the spectrum.
I moved to FL in late 2020 and did some research before moving. The website voterrecords.com gives info by address of voters, their age and what party they registered with D or R or if they are Independent or gave no party affiliation at all. I was able to determine that the 150 unit villa and condo complex I wanted to buy in was about 50/50 D vs R with a small number of Independents and non declared as well. As it has turned out politics has been a non issue here. Lots of nice people of all voter persuasions and I love it here. There are clearly issues in FL that you and I both are probably concerned about but overall it's a good life.
