Just to provide a differing viewpoint, the only local kid I know who attended Saint Tim’s got expelled from her day school. It’s being overhyped here for some reason.
My DD went there. I don’t know about overhyped as much as clarified: the people say it is just for people who like horses have no idea what the school is. We had a great experience there and my DD has never been on a horse in her life. Good kids from all over the world.
Perhaps so, but the campus is literally filled with grazing horses. A family member of mine went there (my generation) and it was literally all about the riding. She later transferred to a local day school for a more academic experience. My dd has a friend who rides (class of 2023 so recent) who considered transferring to Saint Tim’s specifically for the riding but ultimately stayed put We all know that bulking up on full pay international students is how struggling private schools stay in business (Garrison guilty of this a bit as well lately). Maybe Saint Tim’s has improved its academics to lure this cohort but it isn’t somewhere I’d recommend over Bryn Mawr, RPCS, SPSG, Mcdonogh, etc . .
