+1 except personally I'd aim to be home by 4pm.  As of now forecasters are saying likely around 5 or 6pm but be prepared for even an hour earlier.  This is not the day to get stuck in your car.  Get home, secure anything in your yard, walk the dog, and settle in at home.  Hopefully this will end up falling apart and being no big deal but might as well be prepared.[/quote]

Correct, I meant for local beltway folks. For those with a long commute to the northwest, they need to be home much earlier.

There are likely going to be significant updates soon - it's looking like a derecho-like event with increasing probability of a strong tornado. Which is really, really not what we're used to around here.

I know your neck of the woods might have nothing except thundery rain, but please take the warnings seriously.
