I used to believe that DC collectively shrugging while a sitting city councilmember spouted conspiracy theories was a symptom of DC's particular incompetence, but sadly I think this is no longer unusual behavior anywhere in the country or the world.

But lets say it again for any DC voters who may not know: Trayon White, the Ward 8 councilmember for a good number of years now, believes and proclaims that Jews control the weather as well the banks and the federal government. It seems a lot of his constituents agree, and everyone else in the city who may not agree basically dismissed these attitudes as "punching up." This is pretty scary for Jewish DC residents. Our wide-eyed crazy dude also seems to be an antivaxer. Just a lot of nutbaggery passing without consequences for Trayon White.  [/quote]
