Huh? Wealthy people follow weather and the weather in South Carolina is terrible all summer and only for visits in the winter at best. It just sounds gross to be going there from June-Sept and I can’t imagine it being exclusive at all during that time. Fishers Island, Sconset, Old Newport yes, decamping to sweatville with mosquitos and mobs, absolutely not.
Mobs? Clearly you’ve never been to Kiawah. There’s a limit to the number of people on island at any given time. It never feels crowded even at peak season.
Of course I have never been there in the summer. Played some golf in the fall and that is it. There are 4 other families in total on my New England beach right now and it’s 70 degrees and perfect. That is why my street is known as “Billionaires row.” There are about 50 houses along a few mile stretch. The weather is awesome, the crowds are minuscule, and the setting is perfect.
And your water is cold, choppy, shark infested, and the sand, if there is something other than rocks, is ugly.
None of those things are true. Zero. Not on our beach. You know nothing.
