It's a great cluster.  Very few problems from what I've heard, and our experience has not been in the "FredNeck" stereotype that you often hear about on this board.  And we do most of our shopping/dining/entertainment in Frederick City and our experience has been the same.  Nothing really negative to say until you go up north past the city towards the PA border.

Then you'll start to see the occasional confederate flag, etc.

I moved to Frederick county from a western state. I was surprised to see that people here are so rude. It gets worse when you visit Montgomery county. It is offensive to me when you refer to rural folks as rednecks. I'm a minority and lived decades in a less populated part of the west. The people there were nice. They may not drive a fancy car but they would smile. Say good morning. Hold the door for you. Strike up a conversation with a total stranger. Here, people don't even look you in the eye, let alone smile. When you say hi some people look away. People here seem to be in such a hurry they have forgotten how to be a good human being.[/quote]
