Cookie is really close with KJ so that connection will remain strong. It will also be great for recruiting/networking for all Stars players, SSSA and Capital players!
If this makes you sleep better then sure. But it’s not likely to have much, if any, impact. Academically Towson is not going to attract top players.
Anonymous It is not all about Towson recruitment or SSSA kids going to Towson but rather the connection Carr has with all kinds of coaches that can be a great resource for any of her former players/families as they begin the recruiting journey. Carr has coached at Stanford, Hopkins, Ohio State, Delaware, UNC where she also played. Her connections run deep at several top schools/programs. The previous coach at Towson is now the head coach of UVA. With Carr at the helm of the Towson lacrosse program I would bet the Towson #36 D1 NCAA Lax ranking which is higher than Duke, Georgetown, Virginia Tech, and Princeton goes even higher in 2024. Towson could very well become a D1 lacrosse top 5 program with Carr coaching.
Towson may crack the Top 20, that's about it. Kids aren't dying to go to Towson even if KC is coaching. They'll get some of the second tier Maryland girls, the ones that don't get recruited by the top schools - Maryland, UNC, etc. This is likely more of a stepping stone to coach a top school further down the road. Kind of like the Towson coaches leaving for UVA.
