Love Aldi. It couldn’t ever be my only grocery store as there are some things that they either don’t have (I think they change what they carry more often than other stores…I’m never sure they’ll have what I’m looking for or not) or that I prefer to buy elsewhere (I don’t really like their bread selection and I typically don’t like to buy meat at Aldi). But for certain items, they have really good deals and decent quality (their produce and dairy items are generally good, you can get good fish there, lots of good dry goods—cereals and snack foods) and they’re almost always cheaper than other stores).
Oh Aldi's Pane Turano Italian bread, toasted with butter and honey will get me into my car to go get more. They seriously interfered with my low-carb aspirations. Got smaller ribeye steaks for <$10 each on sale at Lidl this weekend that might help pull me back to the low/no-carb side.
Also, I love their Brioche bread/rolls. And their sour dough bread! PS. Any of the German food has been really good there, too. Including the chocolate from overseas! I find some things are better quality at Aldi like fruit, but I find that things like meat (other than their pork and brats) are not as good as Harris Teeter.
