Physics 2 is offered at Wheaton if enough kids sign up for it, but this year, they didn’t have enough so those kids took Physics C.
That is impressive. So some years does Wheaton offer AP Physics 1, AP Physics 2 and AP Physics C? Do they only offer AP Physics C Mechanics or E&M as well?
Wheaton PP here. Kids in the engineering and bioscience magnets taken AP physics 1 in ninth grade. DS then signed up to take AP Physics 2 senior year, but there weren’t enough takers so they put all the kids who wanted a second year of physics into AP Physics C where they covered both Mechanics and E&M. He took both Mechanics and E&M AP exams. To the PP who asked how they have time for this, he took these in 9th and 12 grades. In between were honors bio and honors chem in 10th, AP bio double period in 11th, then AP Physics C in 12th. Calc BC was 11th so he had foundation in calc before Physics C and then MVC in 12th. Wheaton has awesome math and science teachers BTW.
